Description of Workshop:

Welcoming all people into the space with Hongi/Māori greeting. All shoes/footwear and any kind of negativity must be left at the door before coming into our safe space. Nga mihi/Many thanks!

My intention for this Haka Workshop is to bring people/creatures from all walks of life together to unite and express as one whole roopu/collective by using haka exercises, learning the lyrics, actions and combining them all together to perform our haka. I’m extremely grateful that I get to share this haka that I have created with the world. I have the absolute honour of sharing it for the second time at Shiva Shakti. This may bring up emotions that have been hidden or have been waiting to be released, welcome it and give yourself full permission to express through haka. Before the end of the workshop we will be showcasing this at a specific place where we all feel comfortable and have permission to do so.

I’m really looking forward to connecting with you all on another level.

Aroha nui ki a koutou,

Mauri Ora
