Erica Belle and Sarah Spence

Erica Belle and Sarah Spence are both steeped in the western yoga tradition of Swami Sivananda Radha, the first western woman initiated into sanyas (renunciation) in 1955. Living as part of the divine feminine (Shakti) oriented community in Western Canada, they both attended and facilitated evening Satsang. As musicians and trained yoga teachers alongside their more mainstream day jobs, these two will bring you into the realm of Shakti through ritual and music.

SATSANG

Satsang refers to the practice of gathering ceremoniously in the company of conscious people (the wise), for the performance of devotional activities (rituals), including bhajan (songs), prayer, aarti (sharing the light), joyful chanting (kirtan), a talk (spiritual reflections), and a gratitude practice (prasad).

Satsang will be offered to share the bounty of spiritual wealth obtained through bhakti yoga (devotion), jnana yoga (knowledge), and karma yoga (work). This offering evokes the intimacy of co-created ceremony, by calling our community to participate.
